I made this card for my Aunt Shelia's birthday this year. I know that she loves butterflies so I had to go with that theme. Shelia is my mother's sister and had kept me as a baby on up till the time I was grown. She has always been a special person in my life. She always tires to look to the good in people and you don't ever really hear her speak ill of other's. She keeps with that saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say then say nothing at all". She's a wonderful person with a warm, loving and giving soul. I love her dearly.
In sticking with the butterfly theme I went to my DCWV Mariposa papers, the cream and black are from g.c.d. studios "paris nights" paper stack. The sentiment label is a Tim Holtz die cut for Sizzix. The swirl die cut is also from Sizzix. The butterfly die cut is from Provo Craft with the cricut. The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink stamped with Versa fine ink. The flowers are from Recollections and Wild Orchid Crafts and the bling are from and unknown source.
That's all for this post. stay tuned I have one more coming this morning. Thanks to you all for stopping by and having a look. Hope you have a great day.
Welcome to Cards by Amy K.
I am SO GLAD you stopped by to check out my blog!!! Here I will be posting my current projects for you to see. PLEASE feel free to leave me a comment. I would LOVE to hear what you think about what I'm working on. I have been a scrapbooker/paper crafter since I first caught wind of this wonderful hobby in 2006. I am lucky enough to get to spend my days doing something I love so much and which brings so much joy into my life. I first started scrapbooking as a way to pass the time as I found myself at home alone all day suddenly, now I can't imagine life without it. Too bad I don't get paid for it, then I really would have it all!!!
