Welcome to Cards by Amy K.

I am SO GLAD you stopped by to check out my blog!!! Here I will be posting my current projects for you to see. PLEASE feel free to leave me a comment. I would LOVE to hear what you think about what I'm working on. I have been a scrapbooker/paper crafter since I first caught wind of this wonderful hobby in 2006. I am lucky enough to get to spend my days doing something I love so much and which brings so much joy into my life. I first started scrapbooking as a way to pass the time as I found myself at home alone all day suddenly, now I can't imagine life without it. Too bad I don't get paid for it, then I really would have it all!!!

Happy Birthday card with gears

This card was made for my step father inlaw, Frank for his birthday.  I used a stamp set that you've also seen me use here.  I made this card much in the same way that I made that one.  The stamps are from Hot off the press.  I used the cricut to die cut the label shape from cereal boxes.  To do this look, I die cut the cereal box two times and then glue them back to back.  That way you get the look of thicker chipboard but it's thin enough to cut on the cricut.  Thanks for looking.

Enjoy the Journey Birthday card

I made this card for my uncle, Harvey's birthday.  I still struggle with the masculine cards more than any other type of card.  I used several colors of distress inks for the background, the image is from Graphic 45, flower is Prima and it's been glimmer misted, and the embossing folder is from provo craft.  Thanks for looking.

Everlasting Happiness card

This card was made using an older DCWV stack; Far East, and a stamp set from Hot off the Press with the same name.  I used some wild orchid crafts flowers and some flowers I got from the bridal department at Micheal's.  The die cut is from the Lacy Labels cartridge for the cricut.  I find that I go to that cartridge time and time again.  Its so versatile.  So that's my card, hope you like.
