Welcome to Cards by Amy K.

I am SO GLAD you stopped by to check out my blog!!! Here I will be posting my current projects for you to see. PLEASE feel free to leave me a comment. I would LOVE to hear what you think about what I'm working on. I have been a scrapbooker/paper crafter since I first caught wind of this wonderful hobby in 2006. I am lucky enough to get to spend my days doing something I love so much and which brings so much joy into my life. I first started scrapbooking as a way to pass the time as I found myself at home alone all day suddenly, now I can't imagine life without it. Too bad I don't get paid for it, then I really would have it all!!!

A little Valentine for my good friend Robin

I was sending a package to Robin back in January and I thought I would go ahead and include this little Valentine's day card for her.  She's such a sweet and thoughtful friend and I just try and treat her the same.  I used designer paper from Making Memories (8x8) stack. The two felt white rolled roses are from a Sizzix die and the red rolled flower is from the Close to my heart, art philosophy cartridge for the cricut.  I used bazzill card stock for all solid card stock.  The sentiment stamp is also from Close to my Heart, it coordinates with the art philosophy cartridge.

Here's a shot of the inside. I used a journaling spot from Making Memories to cover the page and just cut the bottom down.  The flourish is from the Art Philosophy cartridge too and I'm not sure which cartridge the heart came from but it's also a cricut cut.  The sentiment stamp on the inside is from Hero arts and I used warm red chalk ink from Clearsnap. Thanks for stopping by today and having a look at my cards.  I hope you are all having a wonderful start to a long weekend.  Talk to you soon and don't forget I love to hear from you so leave me a comment if you'd like.
