Another Happy Easter Card

I just love Easter, It's such a nice time of year.  Time to spend with family, friends and loved ones.  Time for renewed faith.  I really enjoyed making these Easter cards too.  This one is for my Mom.  It's a reflection of the inner beauty she possesses.  The paper is from K & Co.  My dear friend, Robin sent me this paper in a RAK not too long ago and I thought it was just beautiful.  Forgive me, I do not know the name of the collection. I used my Tim Holtz rosette die to cut out the big flower. The smaller flowers are some I get from the bridal section of my craft store.  I also used a couple of Prima's and a button for the center.  The leaves are from Recollections; the stamp for the sentiment is from Close to my Heart.  And the pink button is vintage.  I hope you enjoy this card and that you all have a wonderful and blessed Easter.

Happy Easter card

Wow, I can't believe it's already Easter time.  Is it just me or is this year just flying by?  I love Easter time.  The weather is just right, not too hot not too cold, the sun shining and the wind blowing.  Just right for getting together with family and friends for that Easter dinner and Sunrise services.  Not to mention new Easter cloths, lol.

I will be sending this card to my in-laws, Brian's mother and step father to be exact. I sure hope they enjoy it.

I made this card using the Honey Pie designer papers from cosmo cricket.  The eggs were die cuts from the line and I just adhered them to chipboard and used my Tim Holtz/Tonic scissors to trim them out.  I added little drops of pearl paint for the wraper on the first egg.  The sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado and I stamped it with versa mark in and used some zing embossing powder in chestnut.  So that's it for this card.  I hope you all have a very wonderful Easter this weekend and that you get to spend it with someone you love.  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget I love to hear from you so leave me a comment before you go.;>

Masculine Birthday Card`

I made this masculine Birthday card for Tony, a good family friend to my husband and I.  Tony has been a fan of my cards for a while now and even commissioned me to make his Christmas cards last year for his business associates.  I wanted to do a special card for him.  I have to give some of the credit for this card to my hubby, Brian.  He had the idea for the colors and to go with the monochromatic grey for the back ground.  He helped me design and pick out all the elements for this card.  I used a stamp set from Hot off the press and stamped it with chalk ink from clear snap in charcoal, the embossing folder is from cuttlebug, and I used glimmer mist for the back ground.  I want to thank you all for stopping by and checking out my card today.  I hope you enjoy it, please come back later in the week; I should have some Easter cards up.

Black & White Birthday card

 Thank you guys for coming by and checking out my blog today. I am so thankful for all of you who read my blog. The card I want to show you today was made for my Brother. Even though I make a good many of them, I still have trouble with the masculine cards. I tend to want to put a flower on all my cards. lol. I thing the black/grey flower is okay for a man card though. I made this card using the Paris Nights paper from g.c.d. studios. I used stamps from 7 gypsies and TPC studios. Something Beautiful to share today

Check out the new flowers my dear hubby, Brian, brought home for me yesterday.  Aren't they beautiful?  I just love them.  Those of you who know me well will know that I love flowers and plants of all types and that I have a much too large collection of potted plants in my house already. lol.  This is called an Oriental Lilly and the flowers on it are just huge.  I bet they are 6 or 7 inches aross, but I didn't measure them.  Oh well, you will just have to believe me; they are really big.  And best of all, they are pink!  I love them,  a big thank you and lots of love to my darling hubby, who I love to pieces. lol

enjoy the journey birthday card

I wanted to share this latest card of mine with you all today. It's a very colorful card but it's for a lively young man so I hope he likes all the color. I made this card for my Sister inlaws' boyfriend, Andrew. I used a texture fade for the background piece and then colored it with three colors of glimmer mist in a blue, yellow and a red. I used a sizzix die cut for the top piece. I colored it with my distress inks in wild honey and distressed the edges with walnut stain. I stamped the images and sentiment with my Tim Holtz stamps in jet black archival ink from Ranger. I finished off the card with a little ribbon knotted on the side, I hope that Drew really likes this card; I know I had fun playing with the colors to make it. Thanks for stopping by.

Tea cup birthday

Like all my cards, I made this for a family member, My cousin, Nicole. Her birthday isn't till mid April but I am trying to break the bad habit I have of sending all my birthday cards late. lol. I used a 5x7'' card base in white and covered that with a piece of hunter green Bazzill card stock and then layered a sheet of designer paper from the Life's Journey collection by K & co. I used some distress ink in tea dye on the white dollie, I cut the frame and vine from the Cindy Loo cartridge for the cricut and then I stamped the tea pot and tea cup from a stamp set by Hot off the press. I really like this stamp set. I get a lot of good use out of it, it has a ton of beautiful images. The stamp set is called "Fancy a cuppa". I stamped it with memento ink in rich cocoa. I used the memento ink because I knew I was going to use my copic markers to color part of the images with. I stamped the sentiment in dark brown chalk ink from clear snap. The stamp set is called "greetings" and its from TPC studios and its stamped on a shape from the Lacy Labels cricut cartridge. I used some lace from my stash and I used a flower from recollections and also three dew drops in the upper right hand corner. Birthday Card for the Hubby

Brian's birthday was last week and true to form, I was late getting his card made. lol. I love my Husband very much, He is wonderful in so many ways and I love to make paper crafted tokens of my affection for him but, bless his heart, he told me that he was running out of room to store all the little cards and such that I was making for him and he couldn't bare to throw any of them out. His solution to this problem was to ask me to simply stop making so much stuff for him. lol. God Love Him.... He makes me laugh.
I made this card with a die cut from Tim Holtz; its one of the labels but I don't know the name as I don't own the die, I had a wonderful friend cut these out for me. Lucky me, right? I painted it with gesso and then stamped it with the Masculine Collage stamp set from Hot off the Press. It's got some good images that incorporate the gears. I used some colorbox chalk ink in charcoal for the sentiment and the image under it. I used the heat gun to dry it then sprayed it with Juniper glimmer mist. I added it to a piece of card stock that I embossed with the gears cuttlebug folder that I went over with some distress ink to highlight the raised areas. I added that to a piece of silver glimmer paper. The washers are some I got out of the Hubby's tool box and just used glossy accents to glue them to one another all stacked up and then to glue them to the card front. I added the ribbon and stacked a couple of Tim Holtz's gears and sprockets together with a game spinner and left it to spin freely. Brian likes that kind of interactive stuff on his projects. Paper Doll Diva

I recently sent a RAK to my good friend, Robin, and I included this card for her. I am late getting to the Paper Doll party but I finally got the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge last month and promptly ordered three sets of Peachy Keen stamps sets to stamp their little faces with. This is little girl is the first project I've made using my new toys and I just love her. She is so cute! I used my gel pens to color her face and trimmed the dress and hair bow with stickles. The die cut in the background and the sentiment are from the Cricut lite cartridge, Lovely Floral. I used card stock from Bazzill and designer paper from the Sweet Stack by DCWV. I used a flower by Recollections and some assorted bling and pink dew drops. That glittered poka dots piece of paper is just a piece of handmade paper from my stash. I hope you enjoy this card today.
